I bought a used iphone and i dont have a sim card. is there a way to unlock it without a sim card? its a 3g

use a paper clip and open the top of the phone by putting the clip in the little hole. if you already have a sim card, see if it fits. sometimes the sim card you already have can work.

While I was helping my friend jailbreak iOS4 on iPhone 3G and unlocking it so he can use it on T-Mobile, I documented the process. Now his T-Mobile voice works flawlessly, and data working fine on “Edge”, there’s current no way that I know you can run 3G though off T-Mobile.

Recently the brand new iPhone 4 was dropped into my hands…. pretty cool huh? Well unfortunately it is without a sim card and I was hoping that there might be a way to use this beautiful piece of equipment without one. I am deciding whether or not to use it or sell it over the internet so if I do I think the buyer would appreciate it actually working.

Well regardless of whether you have different SIM or no SIM, you can unlock/Jailbreak your phone using the ultrasn0w/Spirit tools which is expected to release soon by the DEV-Team who is like the most trusted group that has been providing the jailbreak and unlock for all the previous versions of iphones since the first ever Unlock…. u can follow them for the official unlock release on their twitter account mentioned on their official blog http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ One more thing there are lots of online website claiming to have unlock tool which they agree to provide you for nominal cost, be cautious cause most of these are fake and they don’t even have any unlock tool, remember dev team provides unlock free of cost there is no cost to it. No way. iPhone works on GSM network (AT&T and T-Mobile) so there’s no way to use it with Boost Mobile USA (that works under Sprint coverage which is CDMA).
iPhone may work with Boost Mobile Australia and/or New Zealand but there’s no way to use it with Boost Mobile USA.

UPDATE: June 2010 The updated method is by visiting www.jailbreakme.com on the phone itself. So launch Safari on the iphone you want to unlock. Go to jailbreakme.com, swipe the icon to jailbreak. Then go into Cydia and search for and install UltraSn0w. Launch UltraSn0w. You’re done! Well now you can unlock ANY version from 1.0.1 to 1.1.4 Just takes a few clicks! http www.iloveqatar.net

Yes, you can still use data, because that will be provided by Sprint, and you can use the App Store, because that’s provided by Apple. AT&T have no control over that.
Any iPhone in the world, with any carrier in the world can use data and access the App Store. AT&T doesn’t have a worldwide exclusive on the iPhone.

I downloaded iBrickr, but what’s the use if I don’t have Firmware 1.0.2? I also have the newest version of iTunes, which I believe is iTunes 7.5. So yeah, help please?
