3g Iphone stuck on connect to iTunes screen. How do I fix? Points to answer that fixes?

I tried to update my phone last night and now after it finished backing up my info and tried to install the upgrade it stopped at connect to itunes. And now its permanantly stuck on it. I am going to use a MAC computer to try and fix this do you think it would help? I’ve taken it to the apple store before and it fixed it.

Any advice I will appreciate it.
Yes I have done that and it will turn off then back on and still says connect to itunes.

Hi, do you know how to hard reset the iphone? using the home & power button pressed, will normaly reboot the phone after any lock outs. Has the phone been jailbroken? (unlocked with software to use 3rd party apps not from the app store)?

Question by M Talha A: How to Unlock Iphone 2g, 10 Points to the Winner!!?
I have an Iphone 2g with firmware 1.1.4 and I want to upgrade it to 3.1.2 there fore I can unlock it from there.
So what I need is How would I upgrade it to 3.1.2 instead of 3.1.3 that iTunes makes me upgrade to?
Should I download it from some other site?
I really need help

Jailbreak it and install ultrasn0w

or have someone with a mac make you a custom ipsw with pwnage tool
on 3.1.2 firmware to unlock the 5.11.07 baseband

to the dude below its actually to unlock on a mac=D
the short cut you want is shift and restore and option and restore for macs

yes he doesnt have any SHSH but doesnt matter if he upgrades his phone, he will upgrade the baseband
