Question by : How much does an Iphone 4 plan cost per month?
Right now i have a Samsung Rouge. I want to get an Iphone 4. I plan on buying an Iphone 4 off of ebay. I know that the phone plans are not the same so I want to know the difference per month. If i buy one off of ebay do i have have to redo my contract with verizon or can i just up my plan without redoing my contract?

(AP) Verizon Wireless is revealing details of how much it will charge iPhone users for voice, text and data service.

The company, which will begin taking preorders for Apple Inc.’s smart phone on Thursday, says a basic voice plan including 450 minutes per month will cost $ 40.

A voice and text plan including unlimited text messages will start at $ 60 per month. And a separate data plan for getting e-mail and the Web will cost $ 30 per month.

Verizon says customers will also be able to use the iPhone as a Wi-Fi hotspot for an extra $ 20 per month.

The company is setting aside a limited number of iPhones for those who already subscribe to Verizon. It will begin taking preorders from existing customers at 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Im using a samsung eternity right now with a data plan which includes unlimited internet and texting. im using AT&T service, so im wondering if i buy an unlocked iphone will my sim card work with the iphone. if so will the internet and texting work for it? im asking cause im considering buying a new iphone 3gs on ebay.

your texting will work, although your internet will NOT… Why dont you just call apple and activate the data plan since you’re already spending the money for a plan any way…..

I am currently using a family plan. My phone is not eligible for an iphone upgrade, but one of the other lines is. Do iphone’s work like regular phones where I can “upgrade” another line and then just transfer my sim card to it and it works for my line? Is there anyway to not upgrade my particular line, but keep the iphone attached to my number?

Yeah what you want is an Alternate upgrade , you can use the other phone’s upgrade to upgrade your phone.

If you just put your sim into the phone make sure to call at&t and tell them you’ve switch to the new phone so they can make sure your account has the needed data plan, otherwise you could get overage fees for using the phone.

I am planning to buy and iPhone, but don’t know if I need a data plan. I’m gonna use my current sim card that has unlimited internet. I don’t wanna get charged extra money just because I don’t have a data plan. Anyone have an answer?

You would need another sim card. A T&T iphones uses a smaller sim card then the regular A T&T cell phones. The sizes of the sim card are different. No matter what you would be require to get a data plan. Plus with A T&T there are no more unlimited plan for the iphone. Only 500MB or 2GB of data internet plan for the iphone.

It’s 30 dollars extra per phone, because they are separate i phones.
And if you have 2 lines, your family plan comes with it, depending on how many minutes you have

My family as recently gotten a jail broken iPhone (which means we also dont need to stay with At&t). since she already as an iPhone, she was think of adding me to her plan. if this isnt the cheapest plan, then what would be the most economical plan?

how many people are on her plan. know matter what joining someone family plan is always the cheapest way especially if the already have family text. the only problem with a jailbroke i phone is the warranty with apple and you have to still use a company that uses a sim card. which is only att and tmobile that i now of. the problem is use lose alot of the benefits of the iphone if u swap carriers because you lose the internet speed and the ability to talk and surf the web like the ads always advertise. you can also not have the regular iphone plan added to your account and just add the 10 dollar family data since your phone is jailbroke but you only get to use wifi then. you take a chance of no apps.
