It’s like the screen doesn’t show anything, but it rings when i get calls and vibrates and stuff :s
It fell, but it wasnt a very hard fall, just off my bed..
will it need repair? ..around how much would it cost to get fixed?

hi there…….uve probs got a pressure crack! but no worries it can get fixed =D
exact same thing happened 2 my phone only it didnt fall off my bed my bro kicked it >:(
so uve probs jus cracked the lcd screen inside thats y it still works even the touch settings aswell
all u have 2 do is buy a new lcd screen frm somewhere like amazon or ebay around £10 and then u can take it 2 a repair shop 2 get a PRO 2 fix it or u can watch sum vids on youtube (bad idea thats wat i did an my bro broke it even more! the screen is perfect but he snaped somet inside so the touch settings dont work no more now >:( ) anyway they might charge u quite a bit cuz its an iphone but like cnt u send it 2 apple an dont they give u like a new iphone? idk but hop ei helped an good luck ;D

i have had three new iPhone 4 from apple because they were not working properly and now i need get another one because i updated my phone to ios 5 and it has totally messed up my signal and says my sim card is not compatible.

I am wanting to get a touch screen phone I found on ebay, and its fairly priced, and it says its for At&t and that is what I have. However it says that it does not work for a 3g network. Does that matter here? Would it make it difference if all I use it for is text messages, and phone calls?

Let me know. I don’t know much about cell phones obviously.

3G means internet speed.Basically in easy words 3G is like fast internet and EDGE(regular internet) is like dial up speed

Okay i have a regualr phone. Now i jsut started rennwed my contract but now i want the iphone 4G-16g, now the price is $ 199 but how much would it be jsut to replace but old phone??/

Most of the time when I’m talking on my iPhone I don’t have Internet access and I can see that I don’t because I use my earphones when talking and can still use my screen. I just want to know how to still get edge or 3g while I’m talking on the phone.

The iPhone, like all EDGE-capable devices that I’m aware of, does not support simultaneous voice & data while you are accessing the EDGE network. It’s a limitation of the technology used… and there’s no way around it.

On the flip side, the iPhone DOES support simultaneous voice & data if you are connected via WiFi or 3G Data (UMTS/HSDPA). One of the key advantages to AT&Ts 3G network over the EDGE network, is that the 3G network allows voice&data at the same time, whereas the EDGE network does not. When you’re connect via WiFi or 3G, you should be able to use data while on a call automatically… there isn’t anything special you should have to do to configure it.

So the short answer:
If you’re on EDGE, there’s no way to do voice/data at the same time.
If you’re on WiFi or 3G, it should work automatically.

I have iPhone 3.1 3gs – my personal phone and ATT tilt with 3g SIM card from my company. ATT tilt has unlimited data and minutes but the battery life is very bad – hardly 1.5 hrs talk time. Since I have my personal iPhone with data plan too, can I switch my SIM cards? Can I access 3g speed? If so, how? Thanks.

I am currently using a family plan. My phone is not eligible for an iphone upgrade, but one of the other lines is. Do iphone’s work like regular phones where I can “upgrade” another line and then just transfer my sim card to it and it works for my line? Is there anyway to not upgrade my particular line, but keep the iphone attached to my number?

Yeah what you want is an Alternate upgrade , you can use the other phone’s upgrade to upgrade your phone.

If you just put your sim into the phone make sure to call at&t and tell them you’ve switch to the new phone so they can make sure your account has the needed data plan, otherwise you could get overage fees for using the phone.

Am I able to get ring tones from the myxer website onto my iphone 3g s? How do I go about doing this? And is it really 100% free and safe to download stuff? I obviously have unlimited internet and text, but I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t cost anything and wouldn’t have a virus or something. Thanks!
