If you mean, your parent has taken your phone away from you so what will happen if you take it back, I think the answer is that either you or your phone could be put where the sun doesn’t shine. If you mean what will happen if you steal a phone, I think the answer could be that you won’t be needing it for some period of time even if it worked, which it wouldn’t. If you mean something else, I don’t understand the question.

And no it is not against the law although apple doesnt want people doing it cause it allows them to get 3rd party apps which they dont like. But seriously its ok you can do it and not get screwed over

i am getting my iPhone 3G unlocked so i can use it with t-mobile, but i still need internet and want to be able to text, can i do all this? i am new to this so any advice will help!

I’m guessing you’re an old woman or a young kid, so let me help you. Why wouldn’t you be able to use them, use your brain a bit. Jailbreaking your iphone lets you get free apps and a background, that’s all.

I just bought an Iphone, and my friend had his for almost 2 years and he jail broke it, he told me that if i do it i can get any app for free, and do more with my Iphone, but he said that if my Iphone breaks, or gets damaged, then im screwed and will be forced to buy a new Iphone. is this true and are there any other problems with jail breaking?

Question by Forgive: Why can’t I jail break my iPhone?
I just restored my iphone and now it does not work for t-mobile. I want to jail break it but i have tried all the programs, pawn and red snow and ibrick and all the rest but for some reason it does not work. Zi phone seemed to work but for some reason it says my iphone isn’t connected but itunes says it is. i reinstalled itunes and restarted my computer and the iphonebut it still does not work. I need the phone but now it does not work and i was hoping one of you knows how to help me? ANY help is appreciated ! and thank you in advance.

this Christmas im considering buying my son an iPhone. he wanted a brand new phone and a new ipod touch so i figured if i can buy him an iphone it saves me a great deal of money. right now i have a pay as you go plan from t-mobile for my son because he doesn’t need a fancy and expensive plan. can i jail break an iphone 4s? (and aniphone 4 and iphone 3gs for that matter) and still keep my service with t-mobile? i cannot afford an expenside AT&T, verizon or sprint plan.

Unfortunately 4.0.2 cannot be jailbroken/unlocked yet. That is the only reason Apple released that firmware version was to stop the exploit that was allowing the devices to be jailbroken. You will have to wait until 4.1 is released and then you will have to wait until a jailbreak is released for it.
