iPhone 4: Apple store or at AT&T (for european customer)?

Question by : iPhone 4: Apple store or at AT&T (for european customer)?
I’m from Europe and I want to buy an iPhone 4. I’m sure about buying it in USA (cheaper and better release date) and fortunately I’ll be in USA on vacation when iPhone 4 will be released.

But I have a problem: where to buy it? At AT&T for 299$ or at Apple store (or any reseller) for price about 799$ (But I’m not actually sure about this number). I’ve heard that AT&T can unblock your phone so you can have contract with AT&T european partners instead of having it with AT&T itself.
Also I’ve heard about cracking iPhone so it can be used with any sim card. However I don’t know much about it and I don’t know if it would be possible for new iOS. But I would prefer this option, and maybe I would be I able to crack it myself, as I already jailbroke my iTouch.

The 2 different prices r for on contract wit the 2 yr contract for 299 plus 50 plus tax. If u get it off contract which is full price u pay 799 plus tax

And iPhone 4 doesn’t hav a sim card so u can’t jailbreak it

OK, so I have an iPhone 3G at the moment, but I plan on getting the iPhone 4G from the Apple store later this month. On the Apple Store website it says the phone will come ready to use, all I have to do is activate it with iTunes. My question is, won’t I have to insert the SIM card in my current iPhone onto the new iPhone 4? Or will it come with a new SIM card already in it that has my contacts and stuff on it?

Just a heads up, in case it can help you out – there are sites out there what are looking for people to test out the new iPhone 4G and provide reviews, and then they let the testers keep the new iPhone for free. You may want to look into that

the upgrade came out at the same time the new iphone 3g came out and I was wondering if my iphone would freeze up or lock up if I upgrade to 2.0

well there r risks but if you do it on 2.0 then you hve to find a 2.0 program but i dont know if an unlocked phone will detect it on iunes for you to jailbreak it

My iPhone 4′s home button is starting to break, I have to press really hard for it to work, and double clicking it (to open recent apps, etc) is nearly impossible. I don’t have the receipt from when I bought it but I have the box and everything in the box that comes with it, still wrapped up. Can I go to the apple store and have them give me a new working one? Or will they even repair it?

Well, if its still under warranty, you’ll still need the receipt to show them that its still under warranty. Why don’t you call them up and ask them? They probably have your answer

If your iPhone has problems the best thing to do is to go to an apple store genius (in the apple store). If it is less than a year old or still in your warranty you may be able to get a new one or get it repair at no cost. See the apple.com/au/support for more warranty info it has a full list of repair costs and replacement cost too.

Alright so im planning to buy the next ipod touch. The thing is my only way to pay for apps would be to use my father’s credit card, and my sister’s Apple ID already has his credit card on it. Can I use the same credit card on 2 accounts?

I currently have 2 phones on my plan one iphone and one razr2. I pay 69.99 for 450 rollover minutes, 30 for unlimited data and 20 for unlimited text. after taxes and everything per month I pay 130 for the family plan. When I goto preorder the iphone 4 frome apple site the only plan available is 99.99 a month voice plan for unlimited but I don’t want unlimited voice just my current 450. Is there a problem with apples site or did att change the voice plans? the new monthly plan would be 149.99 per month according to apple/att

first back up your iphone 4, and make sure to get a good deal on such short notice, rushing things won’t help. think of it as you get iphone 4s yeah you’ll have fun with siri a day or 2 but is it really worth rushing to get it, think it through.

If this is true, than what about the people who are stuck with their current iPhone…they probably won’t be able to switch. This would render the iPhone worthless if you ask me.

f the iPhone 5 came out this Summer, then by next Summer it would be worthless trash, because the iPhone 6 would be available, so why would they want to buy the iPhone 5 when a newer model is out already? Apple should come out with a new model every 2 years instead. And Verizon would have to wait a whole 2 years before getting the new model.

But imo, the Evo 4g>>>iPhone 4. Got flash?! ; )

They have in the past so I believe yes, they will release a new iPhone, or iPod Touch every summer. The new released version of that year is always released in September in North America.
